9. The only real reason to watch SCTV

IMHO

from time to time they would hit on something but rarely. Lots of talented people (support roles no leading types except John Candy) but just nothing really happening. Bob and Doug always came on right after the top of the hour.

I don't know if they really were but I would venture to guess that Wayne's World was in some way derived from the MacKenzie brothers.

A co-worker has the Strange Brew DVD and on it back when it premiered Thomas and Mornis showed up with a jar full of moths...you know in case the movie sucked or the crowd didn't like it-they could release the moths which would go up onto the projection window and they could ask for their money back.

Now THATS funny.

10. One other reason to watch SCTV: Dave Thomas' impression of Bob Hope

Word is that for whatever reason, Hope was the toughest impersonation to do. Dave Thomas had it spot-on.
