A total stranger gave me 5 anti-* and PEACE buttons today because

he liked the FW sticker and the sign on the back of my truck's camper top. The sign reads as follows (I know I need to get a new sign. I change them about once a month.):

I was eating lunch at the local taco stand and this tall, grey haired man, who had just left the restaurant, tapped me on my shoulder. He "said "Is that your (MAKE)pickup truck?
"Yes."
Well, these are for you!"
"Thanks!"

And then he was gone. I looked out the window and saw him driving off in a big dual cab truck (he was a commercial painter). The truck had these HUGE magnetic FW magnets on each side with the text "SEND GEORGE BACK to TEXAS NOW! 2008 MAY BE TOO LATE!"

My buttons include: "SEND GEORGE BACK to TEXAS NOW! 2008 MAY BE TOO LATE!", "People are dying right now!", "He ain't MY President", "War is NOT the Answer" and a cool black and hot pink peace symbol button.

He was so nice. I didn't even get to find out his name but I'll recognize him and his truck in the future! It really made my day! It was one of those random acts of kindness!

Not Athens, Atlanta--but it was a lovely state. I visited in the fall and it was so beautiful with all the changing leaves and crisp weather.

I love northern California. Your friends must be very happy there!

The weather is beginning to change here. Leaves turning and falling. It's cool at night but still in the 70s to 80s in the daytime and humid (surprise.) The days are getting shorter. Our fall is beautiful but the winter can be brutal: cold (freezing and below) and wet (more rain and ice than snow.) Thankfully, spring will come again, but not before the best Halloween ever here in Athens, GA! It is a blast!
