Poll question: Who's your favorite mouse?
This has probably been done several times before but in honor of mouse night in the lounge this special poll has been created. I'm sorry there wasn't enough room for Minnie Mouse, Pixie and Dixie, Sniffles, Uncle Pecos, et al. But there is an "other" slot, of course.

5. Dangermouse.
Edited on Sat Nov-15-03 09:56 PM by nownow
But Ignatz gets my number two vote.

Edited -- Dangermouse was a British kids' cartoon that used to show on Nickelodeon, in case anybody doesn't recognize it (some may not). He was a sort of rodential James Bond.

Second edit -- James Bond, not James Bonc. At least I didn't type 'James Bong.' Though I might have left it alone if I had.

11. Martha the Movie Mouse
a really great children's book by Arnold Lobel -- much better than his Frog and Toad stuff. Out of print. How can you not admire a cinemaphile mouse who has adventures, saves a movie theater, and whose greatest pleasure is hanging out in a theater, drinking a lemon coke with ice?

If I had to vote for one of the candidates above, I would pick Ignatz, which was my son's name until he was born.

I grew up loving Topo Gigio. My aunt still has her plastic Topo doll that is missing an ear. The ear was cut off when she was young, by, she alledges, my mother and other aunt. They deny this to this day.

47. Eddie, kees me goodnight!
I hope the facts will one day come to light. As it stands now, my mother and aunt cut the ear off and threw it out the window of a moving car. This story has a serious flaw in it, however, as the hole in the doll's head where the ear is missing has dried glue on it. What really happened may never be known.

49. How about a judges decision on the inclusion of Pikachu or Hamtaro?
Pikachu is to a mouse kind of what Goofy is to a dog, with lightning bolts.

And Hamtaro is almost a mouse, being a hamster, which is close. And since he would be the only member of the "Favorite Hamster Poll," perhaps we should include him here?

No, thought not. Mickey, then. Must vote for my antenna ball.
