Anyone have any lizard pictures?

Something happened today that actually made me cry. I was on the way home from school and kept feeling these eyes on me. I couldn't quite figure it out. I happened to make eyecontact with a little lizard sitting on my windshield. He was sitting in the perfect spot where the wind wouldn't blow him away. In my desperate hopes to save him from becoming road kill, I told him to stay put. Never, and I mean NEVER have so many people been walking on the side of the road before. I couldn't find a spot to pull over until I was almost at the stoplight. Damn if the little lizard didn't jump into the car with me. Before I could roll the window up to keep him from killing himself (he was scared to say the least), he jumped back out and lost his footing. He hit the highway. I couldn't see him and I couldn't find him. Other cars were coming so I had to leave. I cried all the way home. I've been depressed ever since. If only I was rich and had a driver, I could have concentrated more on getting him home to safety. I know he rode the car all the way to college with me. I just know he was one from my deck. They have gotten on the car before. I usually see them though and get them off the car before taking off for school. I'm bummed. I want to have an impromptu memorial for him here. I know there are no animal lovers in my real life who would do it. So I figured I would ask here on DU. I'm beyond bummed about this. Thirty more seconds and I could have possibly saved his little life. I love lizards. :cry:

To make me feel better. Damn, I'm talking to myself.

I love lizards too. Sometimes they dash into my house, and I have to rescue them and put them back outside because the dry A/C will kill them.

Maybe he made it to safety, you never know...
