I got my picture taken with a snowy owl today!
The Decatur Raptor Center brought their owls to Champaign today, and I got to meet Yeti, the snowy owl! I am still so excited about this, as I have never gotten to meet a snowy owl before. Just thought I would share. Woo Hooooooooooooooo!

they had a family of snowy owls.

The pure white chicks (owlets?) looked like Hostess Sno-Balls with huge yellow eyes. Huddled against the mother owl with those heads pivoting and eyes in wonder, they were the cutest things you've ever seen.

Beat kittens all to hell on the "adorable" scale.

6. They have cool fluffy feet, too!
They roost on the ground, so they need nice fluffy feet. His talons were amazing! He wasn't even a year old and they looked like they could rip me to shreds! I already have talon scars from Owly and Scarlet, and they weigh about one-sixth of what Yeti weighed.
