The new James Bond?
http://edition.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Movies/10/13/new.james.bond.ap/

They could have had:

Gerard Butler

Clive Owen

Ioan Gruffud

and several other "James Bondish" good looking guys. Daniel Craig just doesn't look the part. I'm not a big James Bond fan, but they could have come up with someone better. (no offence Daniel)

3. As a lifelong Bond fan, I, for one, think this is a great choice
I think this is a sign that they are taking the franchise back to its roots--instead of the ridiculous parade of stunts, explosions, and stupid one-liners that it has degenerated into. A new Bond film used to be a big deal; recently they've been no different from any other dumb action film.

Rent "From Russia With Love" again. Not a lot of super-spectacular stuff happens in that movie, but it's terrific nonetheless.

5. Too Cool - theyre going back to basics!
Casino Royale - the most "boring" of Bond books - the whole thing takes place in the Casino....Should be awesome!

I've always argued they should make this one, and set it in the 60's. Stay away from gadgets and perhaps do it like Hitchcocks "Rope", e.g. made to look like one shot.
