What's the appeal of A&F clothing?

What's with the attitude? Do teenagers really buy into this? I haven't seen too much of their clothing being worn recently.

1. For people who are too stupid to think for themselves,
and who can only find self-value by having people know the brand of their clothing.

I really feel sorry for people who have such low self-esteem, and such a low level of creativity, and such utter stupidity that they have to walk around as an advertisement to find any kind of validation in their life.

2. That clothing is a banner for today's generation
Pampered sheep, shaped to be full of themselves, over-inflated sense of achievement, lacking any perspective about the past, and primed to follow any proto-fascist regime holding the reins of power.

Welcome to the Brave New World!

4. "I am what I buy! Applaud me for my brand names!"
Used to be all about rate me on my thinking, my art, my words, my craft...

Now it's just rate me on what corporation I support. It really is the next logical step after sport team loyalty and country loyalty.

3. their catalogs were so sexy and well done that they got a lot of good
word of mouth from that. if you never saw them, you'd be unimpressed in the store, but it gave it a big push w/ college kids.
