Here!!!!
what a totally awesome game for Roy Oswalt and Brad Lidge!

I expect to maybe see Burke in the starting lineup for a while, too, after tonight's performance!!

7. Actually,
. I do recall her claiming she was rooting for both teams somewhere or another last night.

Of course. . . I guess the question does come to bear. . . if it comes down to those two teams.. where do your loyalties lie. . . . THE HUMANITY . .

"ahem" . . "goes back to drinking tea"

8. Both!!
You need to understand the history on this.
I was born in the south side of Chicago, and so have been a Sox fan all my life...34 years now.
When I was a teenager, my family moved to Texas. This was in the days before the Internet, and you could actually follow an out-of-town team very well. So I needed a local team to root for, and adopted the Houston Astros. I kept my allegiance to the Sox, even though I could not follow them very well, because of no good media coverage. I couldn't go rooting for the Rangers, as they were in direct competition with the White Sox, and so, the 'Stros became my local team, and I have been loyal to them ever since, even though we left Texas in 1989. I then went back in 2000, and left again in 2005. Nevertheless, I have been a 'Stros fan for 20 years now, and a Sox fan for 34.

Neither of my two favorite teams has EVER...IN MY LIFETIME, won a pennant. The Astros never have, ever, and the last time the Sox did was 1959, before I was born.

SO....I am hoping for BOTH my favorite teams to win their respective pennants...IN THE SAME YEAR!! and then, they will play each other in the World Series. I'll be happy whichever team wins that Series, but I sure hope it goes seven games if it's 'Stros-Sox. I have to give a slight fan edge to the Sox for that Series, only because I have been a fan longer, but a 'Stros win wouldn't hurt my feelings any!

Does that make some sort of sense to you now?

Hope he's not hurt TOO badly, but it WOULD help if he couldn't start for the next game or two. wouldn't mind taking one of St. Louis's big bats away from them!

Now if only Pujols could get a hangnail or something... :D

Wouldn't mind seeing Tavarez (not Tavaras) punch a dugout telephone again, either.... :D

13. Had to work, but glad the 'stros handled it well without me :)
The s.o., on the other hand, wouldn't even tune in the game, much less crank up the sound so I could hear the game from my (home) office. Dead meat walking. :P
