1. Nothing fun this weekend, unfortunately
getting more junk out of my house, bringing it to my mother's house to store, doing laundry.

Too bad it isn't last weekend-- that was a good time *sigh*

2. Opening for the Rebirth Brass Band in West Chester, PA!!!
For those of you who haven't seen the messages I keep kicking, my band, The New Kings Of Rhythm (www.newkings.com) will be opening for the legendary Rebirth Brass Band this Saturday (Oct. 15) at Rex's (www.rexsbar.com) in West Chester, PA at 9 PM.

Other than that, doing work for my grad class and sitting in my classroom for two hours on Sunday for "Admission Visiting Day".

Been feeling really stressed lately. I am glad we are just going to get the damned thing over with and move on. Phew. No big wedding for me!

13. I know. I remember how nervous I was.
Just make sure you enjoy it. I know lots of brides who were too nervous and stressed to really enjoy it and they regret it. I thoroughly enjoyed mine! Good luck!

16. I am surely going to try.
My SO just moved from Napa CA to my little house in upstate NY last week, and we are getting married this week. Things have been a little stressed to say the least. I definitely plan to let loose once I get to Vegas though. Maybe I can be a walking advertisement for the "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" ad campaign.

31. Congratulations!!!
Are you going for a wild Vegas theme, like Elvis? Or a quick chapel service?

I hope you'll share pics with us when you get back!:-)

36. No elvis, but I may have one crash the reception.
It's actually at the Rio Hotel, they have a chapel there. The problem is that you spend sooo much money when you do the entire cocktails, dinner thing. The honeymoon suite is 3000 sq. ft. at the hotel, so we are having our 30 guests just come and hang out and party in our room with us. My SO is the sales manager for a Napa winery, so we have relatively free wine, and we are ordering some food from Whole Foods. Just keep it simple, hang out and then if we want to go cut a rug, the entire city awaits.

6. Yup.
I've offered to hostess a houseparty at my home for a girlfriend who sells Arbonne Skincare products, so we're having a "Health and Wellness Party" tomorrow. Wine, cheese, skincare products...it's fun being a girl!

Saturday night is "date night", we'll probably catch a flick.

On Sunday, my hubby and I are performing with our choir. I sing alto. My hubby sings bass.

Who knows what the kids are doing? Probably watching too much TV... :)
kidding. I'm strict about that stuff.

Have fun, everyone!
:hi:

22. Let's see.
Finnfan and Finnfan Jr. are coming over. Tonight, lots of snuggling at the end of a very stressful week (lots of tests). :(

Tomorrow, we're dragging his son and my oldest son to IKEA to get some more furniture (a few things need to be switched around before he moves in so my daughter has more space). Then they'll be rewarded with a movie, laser tag, or some other fun thing. We're making roast chicken for dinner and then he says he going to teach us all some card games.

Sunday, it might be fun to go apple picking with the kids maybe (weather pending). Not sure. Maybe just a mellow day before they leave.

Monday night after my class, he's coming back alone to stay until Wednesday morning. He's so awesome I can hardly believe it sometimes.

LOL, it's actually true. But I only phrased it that way for fun.

My hubby has a gig in Montreal. Some old friends from college are coming over.

29. Packing for our move.
Moving from a 1000 sq ft townhome to a 1330 sq ft apartment, all utilities paid, which will help out because winter prices are going to go bonkers. But, moving still sucks.

32. I've got a very busy weekend!
Today after work, I am picking up my new foster kitty! (see kitty thread for pic). Then I am driving about 60 miles to go out with a friend I haven't seen in a while. They do Karaoke while I laugh at them. Should be fun.

Saturday, I have to take a Defensive Driving course, and then I have dinner with a group including a state Democratic candidate. Then I head to the northern burbs to see my friend's band play.

Sunday... I still have to finish taking the plywood off my windows, and finish unpacking from the evacuation of Rita. I've been so busy since then that it's had to wait.
