CA Peggy's excellent adventure day three>>> pix heavy

Okay, okay. We went to the coast, starting with Goat Rock State Park.

Waves, rocks, beach.

Dunes.

And we got buzzed by some critters--some of which were rather strange.

Others just gave us the evil eye--must be Republicans.

Then lunch at The Tides. Salmon to die for. Sea lions barked and frolicked. (Looked an awful lot like mating season to me.) I think Peggy got some shots of them. Then the long way back to Calistoga and a fine dinner at the Wappo Bar & Bistro... or Grill... or something. We did our tribute to Sideways and had Pinot Noir from the Santa Ynes Valley for dinner.

Wow! It looks like you're having a great time. I'm sorry I haven't been following this since day one, but I've been kinda outta it. Do you have links to the first 2 days' adventures?

Gorgeous photos, particularly the vulture. I LOVE soaring birds!!! What does it take to learn to fly one of those whacky things? I wanna learn to hang glide.

Anyway, thanks for the pics!!!
