STAR WARS SUCKS!!!!!!

Yes, this beloved SciFantasy (I will not call it SciFi) from my youth apparently was crappily acted and only valuable on the merits of the FX.

7. I thought that was obvious from day 1!
Americans love eye candy and hate details or intricacies or anything thought-provoking unless it grabs you by your emotions because emotions are more valuable than intellect.

Still, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi have some nice moments, but there's nothing in them - in terms of science concepts - that are worthy. It's all f/x.

Never mind how the f/x in eps 1-3 are so ridiculously OTT...

9. The Star Wars movies are definitely no Citizen Kane . . .
. . . but is that why we love them?

I think the pre-quels soiled the legacy of it all, myself.

15. Not true. "Sith," "A New Hope," and "Empire" are absolutely spellbinding
Even the underwhelming installments (I, II, VI) boast haunting symbiology and intriguing frameworks.

And one should discriminate between "crappy" performances (found mostly in "Clones" and "Jedi") and those that are appropriately skewed to fit archetypal molds (Liam Neeson, Ian McDiarmid, and the ensembles of III, IV and V).

16. OK...why is it then Chewebacca happened to be where everything happened?
How did R2D2 and C3P0 happen to be where everything happeened?

THIS DOES NOT COMPUTE!!!!!

17. The omnipresence of the two droids serve two purposes
1. They are our representatives: humble dalliers fated to bear witness to spectacle and transfigurative events.

2. As it turns out, they are the *other* children of Anakin and Padme: C3P0 was created by the former, whilst R2 offered his services to the latter. When considering Anakin's own transformation into Darth Vader (who has become "more machine than man"), it's a very nice touch.

And the addition of Chewbacca in "Sith" was just a treat for the fans.

together to realize that. I would be sorely pissed.

19. Proof some things are better left remembered.
I'd advise against visiting childhood playgrounds as well. They're damn small. ;)
