1. I get the same
I get almost none at home, but I get that much at work. Makes me crazy when I've been gone for awhile and come back to 800-900 emails that almost crash my computer.

2. I hope you filter them out
One to Two Spams a day here.

Earthlink filters most and my email program does most of the rest :D

3. Maybe about 30 or so.
Seems to get a little heavier on the weekends though. It's not as bad as it could be though because I have E-Mails filters (about 200) that will catch key words and phrases in junk mail like "money-making opportunity, viagra, lolita" and such and delete the before I get bothered with them.

4. 400 to 600 a day and it sucks...
had the same email address for about 15 years now. I even get email from myself
telling me how I can "Increase your #^%* Size In Just Minutes!" .

Three or for times a day i check mail and let that garbage flow into my "In" box.
Then spend 5 minutes or so quickly skimming the names for something
familiar. If/when i recognise one I put a filter on it, but that's a pretty rare
occurance anymore.

I hate this shit. Really beginning to miss good old-fashioned postal mail.

8. Suggest going to CNET download.com.com
They have all kinds of e-mail client filters, some cost $, some free. I am using the one available at the link below in Microsoft Outlook. I went from 100s a day to a few/week. They really work well.

i average about two now, where as before it was only once every few weeks. but at least yahoo sends it to a bulk e-mail folder. although oddly enough, it wasn't until i reported an address as spam to yahoo that i started receiving more spam & varied spam at that.

12. 150-200
It sucks so much. Even if I might be intersted in their special offers, there is no way that I am going to read any of them because I have so much to go through. I am also terrified of deleting email that I actually want. I am thinking about getting a new email address to give to people that I actually want email from. That way, I won't accidently delete their message with the spam. I tried that mailwasher program but for some reason it crashes a lot so doing a quick scan and deleting is usually just as fast.

13. I have several accounts
Edited on Mon Nov-17-03 09:10 AM by RatTerrier
Each serves some sort of purpose. My main is through my ISP (Road Runner). Only given out to friends and family, and limited other sources. NEVER published on the internet. The result? 1-2 spams per month, usually some variation of the Nigerian money laundering scam. And Pottery Barn, since I used this address to enter a drawing. They don't bother me too much.

I also have a few accounts on the free services. My Yahoo account is what I call my 'spam collector'. I use it for online commerce (Ebay, Amazon, Half.com, etc.) and for signing up for stuff. It gets pounded with 100+ pieces of spam per day, most going to the 'Bulk' folder (a quick mass delete). My Hotmail account serves the same purpose, but I set my Bulk folder to autodelete entries (wish Yahoo had this feature), so I'm not sure how much comes in (I should count sometime).

I have an old Excite box that I rarely use, but gets about 10 porn emails a week. I go in once in a while to delete it.

I use a Lycos account for an online radio station I voicetrack for. The email is published there, and I get hit with about 30 spams per day, all trying to sell me Vicodin. Strange.
