1. I never played it to the same extend as I played Super Mario world or
the original one (I still can't get past 8-3 on that.) Put I think I stopped really playing a lot around world 6... I find it annoying how rarely you can save your progress.

I play on Super Nintendo.

2. Yeah, it was unfortunate that the NES system
didn't allow us to save the progress on Mario games. Thats one of the reasons I gave up on Mario 3. It takes so much investment just to get to the final world.

3. I beat it on Gameboy Advance
I'm pretty sure it's exactly the same game, although on Gameboy you can save periodically, which definitely helped!

4. Perhaps I should get that version then
I hope they haven't changed too much in that version. I know how nintendo likes to change things when they re-release old games on new systems.

6. I had just gotten a nintendo not too long before Mario 3 was released
It didn't take too long for me to finish Mario 1. I was so fascinated by all the new stuff in Mario 3. I played that game all the time but could never beat it. Just watching those video game shows on G4TV made me think about it.

Yeah, that was crazy! All those extra lives he scored. He didn't lose one life and I don't even think he lost any powerups!

11. I can finish that game pretty easily
I am referring to the origional NES version. Just run under Bowser when he jumps. You need to stock up with at least one cloud to get by the airforce section in world 8, hopefully two total, one for the last castle before Bowser's.

14. I'm slowly realizing that I have missed out
on a lot of tricks that make the game less difficult.
