I took a lot of band trips in HS and remember them fondly. It's what made HS bearable for me.

These accidents are always unlooked for......

I am so sorry for all those families....can you imagine the grief?

Even if her son is physically unharmed, I am sure he will be in a lot of grief, as will the whole community. It is very much a small rural town.

Neither one of us know anyone involved, but we still are saddened and horrified. I hate it when stuff like this happens.

I guess the band was on its way home from the State Marching Band competition at UW Whitewater.

My friend's son is safe and well. The bus driver, the band director, the band director's wife, the band director's granddaughter, and a student teacher were the fatalities.
