3. Not surprised
Kansas City has a weak defense and they are a bad road team.

4. Going 9-0 is pretty good
for a team with a weak defense and being a bad road team.

6. Your right
They are not a bad road team, just a not very good road team. Kansas City has the 8th worst defense. http://www.nfl.com/stats/teamsort/NFL/DEF-TOTAL/2003/regular?sort_col_1=4 The only team the Chiefs blown out on the road was the 2nd year team the Texans. Look at these scores.

@Baltimore 17-10
@Green Bay 40-34(OT)
@Oakland 17-10 (won by 1 yard)
@Cinncinatti 19-24

I defend that statement that they are not a very good road team and they are a vulnerable defense.

12. I am starting to believe in that
The Broncos were 4-0, Jake Plummer is on the cover then they lost 4 out of their next 5 and Plummer is injured in those 5 games. Now Chiefs are 9-0, Trent Green makes the cover and they are now 0-1. Hell, in 1996 Ahmen Green made the cover the week before the Nebraska v Arizona State game, he fumbles 3 times and Nebraska loses 19-0.

13. Ohio State broke the SI jinx
Remember when they put Maurice Clarett on the cover with the title "UNSTOPABLE OHIO STATE". They went on to upset Miami(Fl) in the Fiesta Bowl.

5. KC is now on a tailspin
Expect to see a SIX game losing streak now that Bengals has provided what we need to do to beat KC.

Broncos will be the AFC West champions, and KC is out of the playoffs, now that Jake the Snake is back and SD is playing like a toothless tiger.

Indy and GB will be challenging, but not enough for us to lose.

7. KC Is Not In A Tailspin After A Close Loss On The Road...
I blame most of the loss on the poor field conditions. We are really an artificial turf team which depends on a good footing for best execution. This is especially true of Dante Hall who makes unbelievable cuts on good fields.

That said, the Bengals played tough and overcame adversity. They certainly deserved to win.

Bring on the Broncos. They aren't going to win it this year.

8. Never doubt a Chad Johnson guarantee!
Gold teeth! Stalwart alum of Oregon State!

er, or maybe fall term 2000 at OSU. :-)

From a Kiper interview:

WORD ASSOCIATION with CHAD JOHNSON:
Football: "My life, period."
Oregon State: "The backbone of my success. One step from being where I want to be."
