What's for supper tonight ?
Hebrew National Kosher dogs on the gas grill and tortilla chips with homemade garden salsa is in store for me. My wife just left for work so after a hard weekend of deer hunting easier is better this time. What are you guys having for supper ?

I braised some steak and wanted swiss steak (which just means braised..lol), but I had no tomatoe sauce, so I used V8..It was pretty good. And a salad

It's from a recipe in Madhur Jaffrey's vegetarian cookbook of the East. I forget the exact name, I am not home right now.

Haven't made it before, but I know it will be good.

Sunday nights aaround here, Daddy pulls out all the stops and makes something really special, like a full-course Chinese meal, prime rib, roast chicken, something like that. However, daughter is at a friend's house, just being picked up, and now I have to pick up son from a band trip. Junky food tonite!

24. looks like leftovers...
just me, kids are not due home til 9pm, so whatever is there in the fridge will get tossed with some ramen noodles, topped with a little fresh parm, and voila! Maybe a plate of fresh tomato slices and balsamic on the side. With a tumbler of vino.

Mashed potatoes, green beans, apple pie. We know someone with an apple tree so we've been getting a lot of free apples. Unfortunately, they're not apples that keep well. I've been baking so many apple pies, we're actually kind of tired of them.
