"The Cat in the Hat"
The Cat looks right but the sets look like a typical American neighborhood and not the cool kookiness that Dr Seuss had conjured up.

Or are they avoiding the cool kookiness in the tv adverts for our benefit? :eyes:

I saw a large display in a store last week and I thought it was Al Lewis as freakin' Grandpa Munster!

5. There's NO WAY the Cat looks right...!
The fact is that Dr. Seuss's Cat didn't look remotely like a cat, but more like one of the random creatures he came up with. However, this production apparently decided Mike Myers had to actually look like a cat, and created a costume that made him look, IMHO, like a more well-fed version of Mister Mistoffoles from the musical Cats -- nothing at all like the Seuss drawings.
