Try It: Shark Grab 'n Bag Powered Scooper

Every once in a while, you come across a mess you don't want to get your hands anywhere near. Broken glass is a good example or maybe the mess your dog leaves behind after you go for a walk.

We may have found a solution. It's a new contraption that's supposed to give you motorized "touch-free" cleaning. It's called the "Shark Grab 'n Bag Powered Scooper." Think of it as a dust pan that doesn't need a broom.

The "Powered Scooper" has built-in bags that are supposed to collect the mess then retract, sucking the mess away.

Anchors Marty Matthews and Reginald Roundtree decided to try the "Powered Scooper" on a common, messy problem--broken eggs. They made a mess on the table, placed the "Powered Scooper" at the egg of the spill and turned it on. In theory, the bag was supposed to drag all the egg inside the bag and away from the table.

The device didn't come close to working. Marty and Reg found the "Powered Scooper" simply pushed the mess around--working worse than a paper towel. It didn't seem to work at all.

10 News bought the "Shark Grab 'n Bag Powered Scooper" at CVS Pharmacy for $29.99.
