Quick, how many pixels per inch is photo quality
I need to make a 7 x 10 "camera ready" ad in tif format by the end of the day and I don't know how many pixels per inch to select.

Thanks.

4. Do you mean camera ready as in you're going to print something
and they're going to take a picture of it - or you're going to print something that needs to look like a camera took it and it was developed at a film lab?

5. I don't know what they mean.
It will be printed in a book.

6. Eh, go for the 300, but just for kicks give 600 dpi a try
Your computer may not be able to handle it, because it'll be a file 4 times the size as the 300 dpi option but twice as sharp.

I guess the real question is, what software are you using?

7. I'm using some crap I downloaded for free...
...because we don't have graphics software here. It's Serif PhotoPlus 6.0. It's actually not that bad.

We usually send stuff to a designer, but she's on vacation.

I've done stuff for us in a pinch using nothing but Paint and Powerpoint, but this needs to be in tif.

8. What's your timeframe?
You could also download Adobe Illustrator CS2 for a 30 day trail, that will be fully functional.
