i think between this and "When I'm 64", Lennon and Harrison were about to beat McCartney to death.

I love that song. I still think Macca was a better writer than John. Just my opinion.

I always thought "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" must've been a leftover Beatles tune that Paul recorded solo.

Maca has written some absolute masterpieces. But quite a few have been embarrassing to even listen to.

Can't think of a single Lennon song I find embarrassing to admit liking. If one even comes close it's "Give Peace A Chance" but it's a perfect jingle for Peace and in that respect John succeeded 100%.
