Go on and on about your boyfriend/girlfriend HERE

My girlfriend is an amazing woman. Somehow she made it through a difficult childhood relatively unscathed, even maintaining a positive attitude about life. Every time her life has taken a turn for the worse, she's picked herself up, dusted herself off, and persevered, determined to make her life better. She is raising several beautiful children, working a nearly full-time job and going to school 12 hours a week (did I mention she's one of the smartest in her class?). Yet she still finds time for a semi-needy boyfriend and his work/family issues.

She is stunningly beautiful, totally giving of herself, and she does a killer Bill Cosby impression. She feels like my karma after years of unhappiness. We are able to share everything, and we completely understand each other; our strengths and our weaknesses, our upsides and downsides. I feel absolutely blessed to have found her. She's made me believe again in true love, "the one", and even in some kind of higher power.

I was in a marriage in which we never showed affection publically. Ironically, we had no "special" secrets together. In the end, the marriage simply fell apart.

I am the type of person who likes to shout from the rooftops when I am in love. I'm proud to be in love, and proud to have such an incredible woman love me. Whenever we go out, I always tell her that I want to "show her off". When she gets stared at (which is often), I think to myself, "That's right, buddy. She's with me." Is that tacky or immature? Of course it is. But I also know things they don't know. They only appreciate her for her physical beauty. They'll never know what a great mom she is, how she snorts when she laughs, how she's always running into things, or a thousand other things about her that only I know.

So I think it's possible to show someone that you are willing to publically declare your undying affection, and still keep many things for yourself. In any case, it's the way I am, it's the way I'll continue to be, and I'm proud of it.

I love that you are so expressive. It may not be everyone's preference (which is fine), but for me, I think it's sweet and I like it. If that makes us less "evolved", then proudly call me "un-evolved". :)

I have a pretty wonderful, thoughtful, selfless, family man of a husband, though!

I got her started a while back.

She is beautiful, both physically and personally. She is one of the most caring and compassionate people that I know. She also completely changed the direction of my life, and for that I will never be able to repay her.

She is intelligent and funny, and she can completely turn someone's day from bad to great with just a smile, just a look.

She is loving, faithful, and is strong when I can't be.

I have complete trust and faith in her. I know she will stick up for me when I need her to, she will fight for me even if no one else will, and she will always put my needs at a top priority. She also knows and has faith that I will do the same for her.

She makes me laugh. She is one of the funniest and most fascinating people I know. I have more fun with her than I do hanging out with anyone else. We spend more time together than some married coupled do, and it never seems to become tired, boring, or stale.

She even goes as far as to reassure me that I am a good guitar player and a talented musician, when I know otherwise.

She nurtures my interests, and challenges me intellectually.

She is the kind of person who I am proud to show off to anyone and everyone. I want the world to know that she is with me, that we are together.

She never stops impressing me. She had a very rough childhood, one that would crush most people, and she not only survived through that and emerged as a well-rounded, emotionally strong person, but also helped be a role model for her younger brother, and looked after him through change after change in their young lives.

When I think about all she has been through, I am sometimes at the point of tears. Compared to my own life, she had things thousands of times worse. I honestly don't know if I would have made it through, if I had been in her situation.

And I know that, if it weren't for all of the events of her life, the bad and the good, then she wouldn't have met me. We wouldn't even know each other.

Sometimes, I feel guilty when I reflect on this. I stop and think. And, if it were possible, if I could change her past, I would give everything up right now without another thought just so she could have the life she deserved.

I am very lucky to have her. I know I don't deserve having someone like her in my life.

Yet she is by my side, she has faith in me, and she supports me.

She loves me.

And, while I may never understand why, I will always do everything in my power to make sure she gets the love, attention, and respect that she deserves.
