I just edited to make the image smaller. The original size was a bit overwhelming, even with a large monitor.

I have some time now before the next exhibit in February, so I'm allowing my spirit to lead me. Your kind words are an inspiration. (Yes, it looks better in person, because I'm having some difficulty matching the colors in Photoshop.)

:loveya: darlin', and hope you're feeling better and less out of sorts this morning.

Didn't seem to generate a lot of interest. If you'd like to browse my (extremely outdated) fractal gallery, it's at http://home.comcast.net/~shessler1/index.htm

I have to seriously think about updating it with some new works, of which I have quite a few.

29. Sometimes I'm quiet.
I have to start a temp job a week from today and that makes me nervous. Well, the driving part, anyway.

My b/f makes metal sculpture, so that makes me even more happy for you that you can make a living with your talent. I feel like I know how fulfilling that can be for an artist. I think arts are very important and don't always get the respect they should.

I agree with you that the arts are important; but it's a scary way to make a living, as I'm sure your bf will tell you. :pals:

31. I'll always take good vibes!
I'll be ok once I've driven there a few times. I learned to drive late and I don't enjoy it much when I'm unsure of the route, traffic, etc.

I hear ya about it being scary making a living at art. Dave doesn't, he's a plumber right now. Not really for him right now, trying to live off the art. Makes him frustrated when he tries right now. Maybe someday. Making the art is the most important part, I imagine.

Thanks so much for the vibes!

35. Hi, wildhorses.
Here's how ya do it, assuming you have digital photos or scans of your work on your computer hard drive:

Go to www.photobucket.com and register a free account. (Photobucket is a free "parking place" for images.)

Then, you can upload your digital images directly to your photobucket account, and post them on DU.

(Don't be chicken. I've never once seen a DUer be mean about fellow member's art work. About the worst that can happen is that your post will sink like a stone, and that's happened to all of us about a brazilian times.)

The space and elegant form is relaxing, tranquil. Bamboo has many uses.
Yours has three segments and the composition is organized by three. It works!
