Good God! I'm addicted to DU!
I'm in the library again (trying to do homework) but I keep feeling the lure of DU, especially the General Discussion lounge.

How do I beat a DU addiction?:shrug:

5. i got a promotion at work
and i hardly ever have time to be on DU. you could get a heavier courseload I guess? Maybe start dating a jealous psychopath who demands that you spend less time on DU? Hey, bad suggestions are worse than none at all right:)

6. I'm addicted, too
I've got finals this week and here I am hanging out on DU. I'll start on my studies and then look up to see what's going on. What makes it worse for me is that I have my own computer in my dorm.

8. Oh yeah!
I always think, I'll just check in and review the forums and then 5 hours later I'm still plugging away.

I try to go to the library to study because DU is too distracting, butthey have the computers there and I still end up being sucked back in. AHHHHHHHHHH.

I was a hardcore DU addict for a looooong time (I was over 100 posts a day at one point and completed 1,000 in less than a week too). Even now I should be studying but that stimulating conversation and desire to debate always draws me back.

19. This addiction might be easier to beat if we had a Democratic
President in office. I came to DU because I needed to know that I wasn't alone in my anguish over sElection 2000.

Then again, if we win in 2004, I will still probably come to DU to visit because I love everybody here. You all have become my friends, and I would miss you if I left.

Plus, slinkerwink is very cute! ;-)

28. I would need DU just as much if not more if
a Democrat was president. I would want to make sure he didn't move too far to the right. We would also need a place to come kvetch about what he is doing wrong and how he isn't left enough or whatever.

Similar to a twelve step program but without the religious overtones so the athiests/agnostics/wiccans/whatevers can cope.

I'm serious.

Otherwise some of us are gonna have to leave DU entirely.

Maybe we could put it in the meeting room so it has a chance of surviving past the first five minutes.
