(It's a copycat of a thread in GD, if you haven't been there recently.)

I'm looking for some good psychobilly. I love Tiger Army, but they're pretty much the only psychobilly band I know. Anyone have any suggestions?

2. It's basically a cross between punk and rockabilly...

Pretty cool sound.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychobilly

That page lists some bands, but I want to know what's really good.

3. Cramps Are The Classics of Psychobilly
"Bad Music for Bad People" is a good place to start; "Songs the Lord Taught Us" is too.

The Rev. Horton Heat, Southern Culture on the Skids, Meat Puppets (some consider them more "alt country" but worth checking out).

Buck Naked and Bare Bottom Boys are more Pornobilly, but still worth seeking out (only one album; their lead singer was murdered). "Teenage Pussy from Outer Space" is probably their best-known single.

5. I like Reverend Horton Heat and Slick 57.
But I'm biased, they're both from Dallas.
