1. lol......you gotta hear my skinny musician nerd type story
Back in the early 80's I went to a Van Halen concert at Palmer Auditorium in Austin Texas with a friend of mine - a skinny musician nerd type. Determined to have a few sips of booze during the concert, he stuffed a small bottle of Jack Daniels down the front of his pants. I offered to smuggle it for him, thinking perhaps he might get caught - he was really thin. But he was convinced he could do it. At the concert entrance, a big fat lady guard said "COME HERE HONEY" - she reached down his pants and pulled out the bottle. Then she waved us in. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

18. A bit off topic, but
I was dating a DJ in the 80s, when we saw Van Halen and got backstage, Eddie bummed almost an entire pack of cigarettes off of me. I was like "Um....hello, Mr. Millionaire Rockstar, can ya get one of your lackey's to go get you some from your rider, for fuck's sake? I'm but a lowly poor high school student..."

He was a very nice, down to earth guy otherwise, but I mean really!

ps- Rivers is a hottie! :9

12. I met them after a show in rochester last year
hence the signed blue CD, they are simply amazing, my favourite band without a doubt.

He's as cool in real life as he seems!

19. That's awesome
I saw them in a local club a few years ago. My band's played there before, and I have a standing agreement with the owner that if they come there again we can open for them. I doubt they'd fit in the place now. Got too big over the last couple of years, but I can always dream.
