I consider it one of the sadly Berman-esque bullshit episodes, becuase after Roddenberry died, fricking berman had no clue what to do, so he set up what whole pathetic "GIAGNTIC KLINGON WAR BULLSHIT SCENARIO".

This episode - "Rightful Heir" - was, as an episiode, kinda cool. But as part of the canon, it was shit, since it was the beginning of the aforementioned "GIAGNTIC KLINGON WAR BULLSHIT SCENARIO".

Fuck that.

11. Season 6! That's when the Klingons were buried into the ground...

Oh, delving into the Worf/Klingon realm was cool at first (season 3 and 4 stories), but by season 6 they drove it into the ground.

Worf's presence helped out DS9 in season 4, but the stupid Klingon plots sadly followed suit...

On the other hand, I'd rather have the Klingons driven to drivel than a bunch of Troi/Betazed stories. Troi's charcter has been nothing but drivel since day 1. Or, rather, just badly written - she did have her good moments and without Troi we wouldn't have had Troi's mother to camp up episodes with. :D

And I'd prefer Troi/Betazed episodes to expounding on the Ferengi... ugh!

At first, I also thought the Klingon stuff was cool. But after Roddenberry died, I thhink clueless Berman had no idea what to do, so instead of keeping Star Trek as science fiction, which apparently he doesn't understand, he turned it into a war story. So was had the idiot long Klingon war, and the idiot long Cardassian war, and the subsequent Borg war in the movies...

And what the hell was up with that total cliche Ferengi Quark in DS9? His presence on the show was as much of an insult to the trekkies as Jar jar Binks presence was an insult to Star Wars fans.
