I'm getting married in 2 days...Ask me ANYTHING!
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 06:41 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
I'm freaking out a little...I can't find Skip a ring, and I don't know if I should find SOME KIND of a dress or just wear something like what I wear everyday....So maybe I'm freaking out more than a little.

1. Your fiance is Skip?
Sounds like he would hang around with Scooter. I hope not, otherwise your fiance may not be available to get married in two days.

3. Yeah...you lost me...
And I'm blonde, so you can't really say stuff like that. I'm confused now.

6. Scooter Libby
That's what I meant by Scooter. Just a bad joke about your fiance's name. I wish you and Skip well. Where's the wedding being held? Church? Courthouse? Vegas?

8. Courthouse...
Stress free, at least it was supposed to be...And my mom's not invited (long story) so I don't have to worry about fighting with her that day. She makes everything about her. It's rather annoying.

7. No questions, just congratulations
The wedding isn't important, it's the life afterwards that matters.

We've been planning it for a long time. I'm so excited. We're going to have such a great time! We're even going to go clubhopping afterwards.

13. Congrats!
You might want to buy a special dress that you can wear again and again to remind you of your wedding day. :D

15. Ask you anything...
Well, really, I'll first tell you not to worry about the ring. The one on my hand is a plain silver band from a discount store...2 for $19! My husband's ring was silver & copper, but I bought him a white gold ring for our second anniversary. Just find something that'll be comfortable and that he won't have to worry about banging up.

I'd find something new to wear, but not something that you'll never wear again.

Let's see, other stuff.

Have you arranged for flowers for you to have for the ceremony? You can pick up some nice ones at a florist or even an upscale grocery store the day of, but be sure that you have some idea of what you'd like and what's likely to be available (ie, are your favorite flowers out of season?)

Do you have a cake? Do you even need a cake? You can buy a nice small white one (for very little money) and decorate with a cascade of tea-roses or something.

Will there be someone there who can take a few pictures (even using your own camera?)

(This one's going to sound dumb, but it can be a problem if you don't think about it.) Do you know how you're going to wear your hair? You might consider buying a little decorated comb for your hair--with a very understated ceremony, you'll be lacking in keepsakes and that might be a nice little piece of memorabilia to have.

If there are any gifts to consider, you must get a place to write down who gave you what (from a fancy wedding book to a spiral-bound notebook, doesn't matter)...invariably, some helpful soul will shuffle the cards around.

Good luck...the wedding itself can be a little nerve-wracking, but I'm a really big fan of being married.

Congratulations, and don't worry a bit.

16. I will tell you this. If at the end of the day,
regardless of his ring, your dress or anything else, the two of you are married, then the day will have been a complete and total success. :)
