What's the worst cigarette you ever smoked?

I smoked something the other day called Move that tasted like it was half pig excrement and half hummingbird droppings.

Like sucking off a tailpipe

The KOOLs were killing me so I had de-menthol a bit.

You couldn't tell you were smoking, but it left this vaguely stemmy ultra light tobacco goopy sweet taste.

I pulled the wrong handle on the vending machine, so since I had 'em I thought I'd try one.

raid her mother's. She smoked Pall Malls. UGH!

...and bought three packs of Pall Mall unfiltered. EVERY WEEK. He was the only one I could remember who bought them.

All my young life she puffed those "Red Deaths". I remember once she tried to quit by going to lesser tar and nicotine cigarettes by degrees. She went to Winstons, I believe, then to Vantage, then to Doral, then to Now, then to something called Carlton, which had so many holes in the filter, it was like giving mouth-to-mouth to a Tampax. So she ended tearing the filters off, and was right back to smoking non-filters again.

I think the nastiest cigarettes I ever smoked, other than clove ones - which I never smoked, seeing how they make me sick just to smell them - was some colored cigarettes called Vogue, and some non-tobacco things whose name I don't recall.

They can keep those fuckin' things illegal in the US as far as I care. That's like the Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout of cigarettes. It grabs yer lungs and slaps 'em around a little.

Then again, I don't smoke

...and the worst tasting cigarette people would tell me existed was Carltons. Whenever I asked a smoking customer what smokes they thought were the nasiest, a good majority would say Carlton.

Now, I don't smoke, but I know most of the brands. A co-worker of mine (smoker) told me that he thought Carltons tasted like really dry hay.

I took a whiff one time, and I KNEW I had to resist smoking.

And I haven't smoked in 5 1/2 years (4 1/2 or so at the time), so it was REALLY tempting.

I tried them once and only once and I hated the things. I don't know what the brand name was but it was nasty as hell and I couldn't figure out why people would smoke the damn things.

Licking the bottom of my sneaker seemed more appetizing than smoking.

Black tobacco, and it nearly killed me. The smoke got about as far as my adam's apple and my throat started flashing the REJECT light. Whewwwww. :smoke:

God those were horrible. My first college roommate isisted they were the best. I turned him into a Marlboro Red guy.
Then I dumped the Reds and went to handrolling American Spirit, and he followed me again.

They were even cheaper than Basics, back when Basics were significantly cheap enough to make a difference.

In Chicago there are so many taxes that it's not that big of a percentage saved on Basics.

But you should quit smoking! I started getting heart disease when I was 27! It's better now but I quit over a year ago.

There were four of us in the car (core of the band: the piano, bass, drum, and vocalist). The drummer was doing the vocalist ... oh, hell, not really germain ... but he did (later) get her pregnant. We all lit Picyunes and puffed like fools. The rules disallowed the lowering of a window for fresh air. God, we all felt like shit at the gig in Biloxi that night.

dear God, those things are hideous. One would expect the French to have better taste.

I swore it was grass/skunk weed clipping rolled up.

About 10 years ago my ex and I decided we were going to quit smoking on a backpacking trip in a wilderness area. We ran into a few smokers on the trail and managed to keep the jones alive. When we ended our trip a week later, we rolled up a bunch of ancient tobacco from cigarette butts we picked up in the parking area and smoked them.:puke:

Briefly made in the late 60's. Supposedly made of lettuce, they were touted as "nicotine free". Tasted just like burning lettuce.

I don't smoke, but I work in a convenience store in the Midwest. Our cheapest cigs are called Ones, from Brazil. They're $1.57 a pack. We sell a lot of them to poor people. Sometimes our Marlboro/Camel people (mostly college kids my age) try them and report back that they are utterly horrid. I have no doubt about it.

I've been curious about who makes them, and how they can be so cheap. No information on the packaging as to who the manufacturer is, and I don't speak Portugeuse, so my limited research has been futile.

Apparently, they are chcock-a-block with THC and pesticides.

All I know is I smoked one, and seriously couldn't move my legs for an hour. I really thought I was paralysed.

Tho now that I've quit, they all make me sick.

The Waves were these weird Japanese imports that ran a buck a pack back - compared to 2.50 for Marlboros - when I was in college so of course we all smoked them! Oddly woody, oddly oregano-basily. very otaku cigarettes, though - they imitated the filter paper perfectly from a camel.

The Jazz Cinnaberry thing was a random purchase Mr. Politicat made for me when he went to buy a cigar (he rarely smokes cigars and/or pipes, but when he does, he wants good ones.) He saw these Indian flavored cigarettes and bought me the cinnaberry ones. (Knowing I like neither Bananas nor blueberries, which were the other two options.....)

Foul. Like inhaling a burning cinnamon stick.

Its a tourist thingie! They're not really donkey shit but some low grade tobacco. You used to also be able to get horseshit and bullshit cigs down there too.
Now that I think of it it probably was donkey shit!

Ever since I started smoking American Spirits about 7 years ago all other cigs smell like burning styrofoam to me. Strange.

In a pinch, so I smoked one of those "chick cigarettes". Those were by far the nastiest cigarettes I have ever smoked. Ugh!

I also hate Misty, Capri, and any skinny cigarette.

I prefer Camel Lights.

God they're horrible! But they're half the price of Camels, so I'm suffering through right now. Four of them a day is about all I can take.

Quitting smoking was the second best thing I ever did.
