Did you ever hear about those guys who had hiccups for decades?

Everytime I get the hiccups I always fear that i am going to be the next person to have them for like 40 years. They seem like they will never end sometimes

1. A major league pitcher had to retire due to hiccups

Dave McNally won 199 games and was one of four Baltimore Oriole pitchers to win 20 games in 1970 on their World Series championship team. He developed hiccups and had to retire.

4. Sometimes I think I might end up as one of those people someday.

I get hiccups a lot. Sometimes it takes an hour or more to make them go away.

6. That happened to my mom's uncle.

Started hiccuping and didn't stop for a long time. Turned out to be some kind of infection, IIRC. They did eventually stop.
