I was born at
an AF base and moved a lot. I have no memories of it. We moved every other year for most of my early life.

Where were you born and what is a good memory?

12. St. Patrick's Hospital, Missoula ,Montana
After 1st grade moved to Ronan, Montana.

Swinging on a rope swing looking over our 20 acres at the foot of the Mission Range on the Flathead Reservation in the late 50's and early 60's. Horseback riding, playing cowboys and indians..hide and seek and tag were regular games.
Watching the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday's. Or Ed Sullivan and Lawrence Welk. (Loved the Lennon sisters!)
Jumping from the hay barn with a sheet affixed like a parachute (and it worked!)
Fishing the streams of the Flathead Valley with my older brother.

I guess the memory is innocense lost. America will never be the same.
:sigh:

I live in the same house the family moved into in April 1961. Grandma G bought the place and moved it here (a block from the original site) in 1952 and one family member or another has owned it since.
Saginaw General Hospital is two blocks from here -- I can see its lights from my computer desk.

My favorite local memory was probably my high school's football team going undefeated, untied and unscored upon in 1973 (442-0, 9-0), the only team in Michigan history ever to do so.
