400+ dead American troops 9000 casualties
Bush has not visited one family member. Bush has not attended one funeral or greeted one casket arriving on American soil.
He won't allow Americans to see the dead and injured from HIS war.

The ONLY reason Bush is changing his policy on Iraq is because of the poll numbers bottoming out. That is the only reason.
Hundreds are dead and Bush does not CARE!
Thousands of severely injured and Bush doesn't give a rip...

But bush is going to meet with families of the 53 British troops who have been killed. WTF?

No such thing for American next-of-kin. Not one thank you. No photographs of a solemn Bush observing the arrival of the dead he allegedly supports so much when they are alive and not drawing veterans benefits.

Bush must be stopped in 2004.

1. They were living breathing drinking loving eating
laughing people. They were mom's and lovers and were that favorite uncle. What a horrible waste. It just keeps getting worse.

2. Honor and dignity!
Honor and dignity!

If this is honor and dignity in the White House, give me blow jobs and cigars in the Oval Office.

5. Sorry, some of what you posted is wrong
Bush has much to answer for, but he and his wife have visited with military members maimed in Iraq, in hospital at Bethesda.

And I'd like to see the supporting info for your 9000 casualties - I've only found substantiation for ~2200 in the big media - who is reporting this much higher total.

and your last bit about "not drawing veterans benefits" - are you referring to dead military, or living? - what benefits are you referring to - their is a large variety of benefit programs for both active and retirees, and at least a half-dozen other Survivor benefit programs. True, recent bi-partisan congressional committees have scaled back the rate of growth of some programs, but none have been eliminated in the last several years.

6. and lastly, about poll numbers
A fresh story in the ABC site doesn't look quite as rosy as you've made out - http://abcnews.go.com/sections/politics/US/bush_poll_031117.html
The candidates have to find a solid issue to hit Bush with, and find it quick, becasue I don't think war approval or economic issues are going to be the Silver Bullet.

7. Here's your links for 9000 injured....
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2001792662_wounded16.html

From the article:

"The Defense Department said Friday that the number of American casualties in Iraq had passed 9,000. Some of the most seriously wounded come through Walter Reed."

http://www.upi.com/view.cfm?StoryID=20031113-074311-4128r

WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- The number of U.S. casualties from Operation Iraqi Freedom -- troops killed, wounded or evacuated due to injury or illness -- has passed 9,000, according to new Pentagon data.

In addition to the 397 service members who have died and the 1,967 wounded, 6,861 troops were medically evacuated for non-combat conditions between March 19 and Oct. 30, the Army Surgeon General's office said.

That brings total casualties among all services to more than 9,200, and represents an increase of nearly 3,000 non-combat medical evacuations reported since the first week of October. The Army offered no immediate explanation for the increase.

So apparently our own Department of Defense is the one who came up with this number.
