3. Our local classic rock station
the "Power Loon" has a few brief essays on rock and roll instruments, and one of them was the cowbell. They're pretty funny. They even mention rock and roll flute.
Yeah. A flute.
But their favorite use of the cowbell was by Mountain.

6. Damn, that's cool...
I do alot of travelling. Each city seems to have:

The Fox

The "Q" (or the "Z")

The Bear

The Wolf

The Power Loon, now that's refreshingly different!

7. On friday's, the loon gets drunk.
You're supposed to call when you hear the drunk loon, and if you win you get enough cash to buy a case of beer.
There's not much else to do in central Minnesota at this time of year.

I can't remember the song title off the top of my head, but it's off OK Computer.

That song rocks the cowbell harder than hell.

Edit: I remembered (and checked my CD). It's "Electioneering."

27. Pink Floyd - Division Bell
OK, so it's the wrong kind of bell. There's a song I'm thinking of that has really great cowbell. I can hear it in my head. Unfortunately they're mumbling the lyrics so I can't figure out the title. I played it with a pickup cover band in the mid 80's.
