1. That's a frigging good movie
With one of the greatest endings ever. The BBC aired the Living Dead trilogy a couple of months ago, to coincide with Land of the Dead. Quality stuff.

I just hope for your sake you haven't stumbled onto John Russo's piece of shit '30th Anniversary Edition'.

2. Watched it with my Mom every Halloween after trick-or-treat...
Once I was about 10, of course!

The first time I saw it I actually got kind of hungry...

But it was right after school so that probably explains it:evilgrin:

It's an awesome movie!

I've never seen the colorized version. That would just be too much!

4. In 1969 at the drive-in it was terrifying.

Never again been as scared by a movie. Looks dated now, and eclipsed by movies like Jacobs Ladder, but the one thing I took away from it was that the person I rooted for to live was a black man. First black hero I ever saw.
edit for forgot spell check again. zip.

That movie scared me for years and made me hate horror movies.

7. I think it's public domain, for some reason
Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 11:40 PM by Cats Against Frist
I could be wrong, but I think it's on public domain film sites. Anyone should be able to watch it on their PC.

9. I first encountered it in scenes from the film "Fade To Black".
I found it absolutely repellant. Disgusting. I gagged over my food for weeks after.

Then I saw the film on its own and found it less repellant than "Fade To Black", actually. And the O. Henry ending of the hero being shot at the end because his ostensible rescuers think HE is a zombie.

A horror film classic.

11. "Dawn of the Dead" takes place in a mall, but "Night of the Living Dead"
takes place in a farm house.
