I'm only a fourth of the way into it, but it's damn good. Damn good. All things follow the beam.

1. Sweet. I love that series.
Particularly the first book. Magic, cowboys, and feudalism make for a seriously strange world.

4. Glad to hear it
since Wizard and Glass blew big chunks. Now I know what I want for Christmas.

6. If you didn't like Wizard & Glass...
...you may not be as fond of Wolves of the Calla as some of us here. It's certainly not more-of-the-same (far from it), but it does continue along the same lines.

7. Does King get past the major suckage of Wizard and Glass?
Lordy, what a case of writer's block! Just tell the darn story.

9. How did that get released without me noticing?
Dammit, I just bought a bunch of new books. Now I have to buy one more.

15. Couple of weeks ago, do you ken?
Very recently, at any rate. Plus, there's an unrelated story about Roland in "Everything's Eventual" that's worth checking out.

10. The first three are my favorite books...ever...
but the fourth sucked ass and made me lose interest. How does this one rate to the first three?

13. I haven't read the others in a while
so I can't rightly say. This is similar to Wizard and Glass, but different...but I liked the fourth one, chiefly because I like all that background character development stuff. Probably explains why I have blown so much money on nearly everything Tolkein-related ever published.

If you're not sure, grab it at a library and start reading it.

11. Why does everyone think the 4th book sucked ass?
It wasn't as good as the first three (I liked #2 the best), but it wasn't that bad. Was it?

12. I didn't think so,
Zen Lefty. We needed to know about Roland's early years, say thankya.
