I made doughnuts!
We carved the kids' jack-o-lanterns this afternoon, and I thought it would be fun to have apple cider and cinnamon sugar doughnuts as a treat while we did the carving. I got out the deep fryer and the Betty Crocker cookbook, and we had fresh hot cinnamon sugar doughnuts with real apple cider.

It was just like being a kid again.

4. They're all gone! But I'm thinking of making more tomorrow.
The kids can watch "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and eat popcorn and fresh doughnuts.
