To everyone who warned me
about colonoscopy prep and working. You were right, I was very very wrong.

Off to the doctor now, may I have good wishes?

1. Good wishes most definitely
Don't worry, though..... the prep is the bad part.

Khash.

5. The prep was nastiness.
I made it about 2 hours at work and had to beg my helper to finish, as I could not be very productive.

The procedure was nothing, and I have beat family genetics. No polyps!

Either that, or I really AM the milkman's baby.....

16. Don't dread it...
The preps no fun (used to be you had to drink a gallon of vile stuff which caused terrible cramps, now you can just take a pill) - and you spend a lot of time on the pot.

But the procedure is OK. Mostly it's just embarrassing but they knock you out first. You won't even know it happened.

It's way better than the alternative - colon cancer, colostomy bags, chemotherapy, death....

My grandmother died from colon cancer.... trust me, it's pretty ugly and very painful.

So just go do it. But don't dread it.

Khash.

17. Oh I dread it because I have had it done before and worry what they might
find in there. :( I have had ulcerative colitis since I was 10. I am now 34 so I am in a higher risk group for colon cancer because of the disease.

4. The soreness and the farting
Sorry, but it's true. You do NOT want to be in public right after any of those procedures.

8. If you've gone through the prep, you've gone through the worst
it's one of the best things you can do for your colo-rectal health

15. Totally agree
The prep was the absolute worst. The test itself was a cinch.

As was I ever relieved when the results came back! Thank goodness it'll be another ten years before I need another colonoscopy.
