2. A variety of things.
I have some photographs up in my home.

Yesterday at the All Saints' Day vigil mass, I listed the names of several relatives and one friend to be prayed for during the month of November, when we commemorate the dead.

I think about them a lot, of late particularly my great-great-grandfather from Ireland, and talk about them to other people.

This Saturday is my great-grandfather's birthday, and I want to do something to mark the day. I haven't decided what yet.

Generally I do remember anniversaries, birthdays, etc.

3. Hi, Miss Honey!
Thanks for that reminder. I burned some incense an offering for deceased loved ones' presence in my life.

How've you been? Did you notice that Mr. Heidi (Call Me Wesley) has joined DU? (I think he left you a post in German somewhere in the Lounge.)

4. I am doing fine
went to my dads grave last weekend since I am not able to go there today (3-3 1/2 hours drive). Put some flowers there (he is the only man who always gets red roses from me at every visit).

Yes, Call Me Wesley answered one of my posts. So you finally got him to join. That is wonderful. Looking forward to chat with him as I do with you. If he is as sweet as you are (and I am sure he is) it is a great thing to have him here.

10. Thank you, Miss Honeychurch,
for reminding me to call my dad. He's a kind, quiet, smart Vietnam vet, and I'm grateful that he has lived to demonstrate to me, since talking isn't much his "thing," how to be a good human bean.

By the way, Call Me Wesley is sweeter than me. He's naughtier and more sarcastic than I am, but in many ways, he's an all-around better person than me.

5. G'day, MissHoneychurch

My work colleague lost his battle with cancer last week while I was on vacation. He was at work earlier that week. We thought that he was winning.

I had to clear his name from my pager. :(

9. No, not quite
but I did get to see the ones wanted to see and tasks done. I got the mirrors to my play-sister's new house. I haven't seen the family in 3 years. Didn't hear back from my cousins (they live in L.A.), but that's okay. I try to make the trip every other year.

8. Today is my mother's birthday. She's no saint but I'm going to make
her dinner just the same.

Usually, I enter their names into the Book of Life at our church during a remembrance service that will happen next week.
