2. It's an old "insider" DU joke
There was a picture of a "freeper type" and the person had misspelled moron as moran.

The Cardinals fan with the hand lettered sign that said "Get a clue, Morans"

I carried a hand lettered sign at the Oct25 rally in DC that said
"Cheny Energy Policy = War"
I squeezed a half-sized "e" into his name. I got lots of nods from my compatriots in the march. It worked.

it's old, it's tired, it is, in a word, annoying. Anyone who doesn't know the joke and sees the rampant misspellings is going to think those doing it are a bunch of, well, morons.

we MUST do something about stamping out that ugly non-word ALOT.

Somehow our children need to be taught to write "a lot".

Either that or we should all start writing things like "alittle" and "afew" and "abunch" and "anapple" and "agrape".

Also if you ever see us refer to Bush* as whistle-ass, we're talking about Bush*. An elderly lady that passed away talk about Bush in her will. She called him whistle-ass. Hahaha!!
