Well, excrement
My boss drives me crazy. I'm so angry at him for things (not worth mentioning here) that I can hardly look him in the face.

So, I come in at 7:55 this morning (I'm supposed to start at 8:00). The first call is from a friend, and I start unloading on her about how I'm looking for another job because of several things, but in the meantime, I lay it all out for her how I feel about the boss.

Turns out, he was in his office the whole time and could have overheard me. Shit. Has anyone had this happen to them? Any advice?

1. If he brings it up to you, say
"Yeah, that's right. You mean to tell me you've had me in the office all this time and you couldn't figure out how I felt about the shitty way you ___________ and the fact that I have to ___________________?"

2. That's sort of what I plan
I'll probably leave out the profanity, but I'll admit that that's how I feel.

Luckily, I didn't say anything that would implicate anyone else. That would have been horrendous.

3. Do the best work of your life while you look for a new job
That's what I did and I've never regretted it.

Are you always angry with him, or is it just due to recent events? I can usually ignore an employee being temporarily peeved at me because of work concerns, it happens sometimes, people need to vent, and lord knows I'm occasionally furious at my boss as well. But it would be hard to overlook someone who is harboring a constant, simmering anger toward me. Anyway, best of luck with finding something new. And, here's a

7. Thanks, Bunny
He's always been a pain, but he just sold us out on a new floor plan for our office so he could have a nice office. Two of us are going to be crowded in a small space with no natural light, even though both of us have registered mutliple requests for a window and objections to the new space.

I've been looking to transfer for some time. I love the company.

5. Need to adopt the "radio studio" rule.
Professional broadcasters never use profanity around a mic, even if they know it is not turned on or they are not live on the air.

Never talk about bosses or co-workers at work.

8. I learned that
Or at least to be much more careful. Turns out I lucked out this time.

9. Thanks, all
Turns out he didn't hear what I said. He snuck in right toward the end, and my coworker warned me he was there in time.

I lucked out this time, and I'm remembering the experience for the future.

11. Thanks
This ahole is going to be up a creek without a paddle when I leave. I hate to do that to my coworker, but she understands.
