So how many of you have ever made a vow NEVER to go back to GD
only to go back there and once again jump into the dark vat of angst?

Next question: how many of you pick scabs until they bleed?

This is a research project. I am going to do a statistical analysis on the two results and see if there is a correlation.

No, I'm not in the habit of "picking scabs." I went back because I thought it had been getting better lately.

GOOD LORD, WAS I WRONG.

The insanity in there is worse and more offensive than EVER. The bigotry, misogyny, ignorance, hatred and defeatism HAS to be at an all time high. I made the mistake of contributing to a few discussions to try to represent REALITY, and just got flamed/insulted/frustrated as a result. Some of those posters are a lost cause to the progressive effort. I weep for them, their children and especially their life partners. The people they inflict their shit on daily must be really suffering.

Don't just go running away saying "I CAN'T DO THIS". We need to toughen our skin because it's going to be a difficult 3 years as we fight an uphill batting against republican control congress and the bush regime.

You see people getting negative (and I do all the time) - fight back and stand tall!!

21. GD doesn't have the cattiness problem the lounge does...
In GD if someone disagrees with you, they flame and vent, and then drop it.

In the Lounge, if someone is irked, they play "Mean Girls" and play people off you.

OK:

1) I never go to GD unless specifically asked because I'd rather argue and laugh about our arguements with the lounge lizards.

2) As for the scab thing - yes, I plead guilty - I always tear them off.
