6. Never watched that one but...
I admit to watching Charlies Angels. I believe I was in 9th grade when that started. I never missed it. What was I thinking?

Also watched Greatest American Hero, Hotel, The Partridge Family, Webster, Alf, Mr. Belvedere, The Waltons and many, many more which I will admit are quite bad. Worst of the worst for me is Shazamm! That was a horrible show.

The only way I can explain it: We only had three channels.

Edited on Tue Nov-18-03 05:22 PM by brainshrub
It sucked so bad the network never aired all the episodes! As a kid I thought it was the greatest! But when I saw it on the Sci Fi network last year I thought to myself:

"OMG...this sucks donkey-balls."

but like you, I saw it later in my teens and was very ashamed of liking it.
And Laura Brannigan as a guest star? Jumped the shark in the fifth episode.

25. well, yeah but you have to allow some suspension of disbelief.
But once you accept the rules for the universe within the show, you still have to wonder why they thought it was a good idea.

15. Happy Days (renamed to "Crappy Days")
Edited on Tue Nov-18-03 05:27 PM by NeonLX
I was in high school when it first came out. It was kinda cool. But it started to suck worse and worse with each passing season. After awhile, it became completely centered upon The Fonz & that jerky "Chachi" or however that little creep's name was spelled.

So I guess it actually sucked even before it went off the air. Never mind.

34. Yeah, it wasn't 'real'
I can remember the Fifties. Happy Days was not the Fifties, at least the way I remember the clothes and hair stiyles.

For one example: to have been REAL, the guys would have to have had Wildroot Cream Oil literally dripping from their hair, which was washed maybe once or twice a month. I suppose the smell would have grossed the female actors out.

Oh, and showers ONLY once a week, whether needed or not. They all looked way too clean.

24. Lawrence Welk !! HeeHaw and Laugh In
Lawrence Welk....My dad made us watch it every Saturday during dinner. It was his generation, I guess. My mom just held her breath as Bobby and Barbara glided across the dance floor.."isn't that beautiful!"....but dinner was always delicious..mashed potato/gravy, roast beef, fresh bread, corn-on-the-cob, and red jello with whipped cream, and a really big homemade chocolate layer cake/with chocolate frosting and crushed walnuts on top. ..mmmmmmmmmmmm

HeeHaw and Laugh In are just stupid, today.

I was two or three, and though I didn't understand what they were doing, it *seemed* funny. Now, it's just silliness, with Lou Costello screaming AAAAAABOT!!! constantly.

PS: I always thought that Howdy Doody was dumber than a box of rocks!

42. Oh, but Dark Shadows had the BEST bloopers!
I guess they either filmed live, or couldn't afford more than one take.

Two that I remember:

Angelique walks through the grave yard and her skirt gets caught on a "stone", pulling it down.

Barnabus is seated next to a candelabra, ruminating on his misfortunes while one of the candles falls on the table and sets a small fire.
