Need help from classical music buff/somebody who speaks Italian
There is a song called "Che bella vit'ha'l mond'un villanello" on a cd I have called O Cieco Mondo. Can somebody interpret what thst song title means, and/or tell me anything about the composer of this song? It's one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard, and I can't find any information on it, or what it means, online.

5. I tried a bunch of other sites too; none recognized either "mond" or
"mond'un" which I think must be something to do with 'world' or 'one world'

How beautiful to live in one world of many villages?

I speak a little Spanish too, so that's what I'm going by...

10. Search results
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 08:29 PM by Chan790
The composer is unknown. The song is credited to (Anon.) under the composer field in a search of the BMG recordings database. However the most popular recording (and thus the one most likely on O Ceico Mondo) is by the Huelgas Ensemble/Paul van Nevel, if that helps.

Edit: it helps to know where to look. My former college roommate was a music performance major on the piano so I learned how to track down rare song infomration in languages I can't read.
