I saw "Inside Deep Throat" tonight

I rented the DVD at the video store. Really interesting documentary of "Deep Throat" (which I did see) and it revolutionized the porn film industry.

It's a good film...you might want to check it out sometime. :-)

Deep Throat is one of the few straight porn films I really liked (Devil and Miss Jones and The Other Side Of Julie being the others).

Have you read Linda Lovelace's autobiography? It's very interesting.

But as long as we are discussing porn: I saw Marilyn Chambers at the Mitchell brothers theatre the day she was arrested for "inappropiately touching" audience members. Unfortunately, I was not one of the people she inappropriately touched....

I saw the original Deep Throat, at the tender age of 18, and I was astonished.

7. Per Linda, her entire porn 'career' was under co-ercion

and she has said that when you're watching "Deep Throat", you're watching her being raped. She has also said that she was regularly beaten by her husband/agent/pimp Chuck Traynor & was forced at gunpoint to do certain scenes (including porno loops with titles like "Dog Fucker" - which are exactly what they sound like). "Ordeal" - he beat her, held a gun to her head, etc. I've worked on porn sets - no doubt he was an asshole, but if someone held a gun to a woman's head on a porn set.... let's just say it wouldn't have gone over very well and he would still be recovering.

She also said that Sammy Davis Jr made her have sex with his dog until she figured out how to scare the dog off.

What's telling is that all this "came out" only after she became a born-again. I just don't buy it. He probably was abusive to her, but her story just doesn't ring true - all though it's a rather sick pornographic tear-jerker.
