This is true. I don't understand a lot of it (hard to jump into the middle of any soap-opera type thing and figure it all out in just one night), but it's not nearly as "Freeperish" as I used to think.
Next, I'll have some humble pie for dessert before I go to bed.
It's definitely not freeperish - Bree is the only character whose political affiliations are known - she's a republican NRA member. The character and her late husband are based on the parents of creator Marc Cherry (who is supposedly a log cabin type repub). I've never seen any kind of conservative agenda laced into the writing and when Bree's probably-gay son kissed another guy, conservatives boycotted and some advertisers pulled out. I doubt freeps embrace this show.
8. BTW, they had an anachronism in the last new ep
two weeks ago. Alfre Woodard's captive son is on the lam for some crime committed in Chicago, and her other son said "We can't turn him in - they'll execute him". We don't execute people here in Illinois.
just tonite I saw Julia Sweeney credited as producer. If that is the real 'Pat' she is very far from freepish. You should hear some of her work on dealing with religion and being Catholic.
