4. Tonight's episode was classic!
Especially the part where Peter said the Washington monument looked like a penis.

5. Anyone who doesn't think Family is funny doesn't get the joke.
Best five Episodes:

To Love And Die In Dixie
Mr. Griffin Goes To Washington
Fore, Father
When You Wish Upon a Weinstien
Tonight's Episode.

"Though by people, they're abhorred
Hebrew people I've adored
Even though they killed my Lord
I need a Jew"

I'm Jewish. . .I loved that episode.

6. That is some funny shit
I keep remembering the thing where Peter does ecstasy and rolls around on the floor.

They have some great cracks on politics and pop culture. The writer is a real liberal (also does American Dad - great parody of the times).

8. Funny, but less funny than futurama.
Sometimes family guy wanders a little too far into the 'dumb humor' category for me.

9. Good and still getting better
They're already ahead of where the Simpsons were at this point in their development.

14. Everything sucks but Stewie.
Seriously, nothing on that show is funny but Stewie and sometimes Brian. Everyone else is shallow and poorly developed... like the entire cast of characters on American Dad.

16. I think that's kind of the point....
..you know, the fact that the only characters in this typical american family who aren't shallow and underdeveloped are the infant and a dog.

19. I love it
I am an unrepentant family guy watcher. I scan the TV guide channel just to watch it as often as possible.

I also like Reno 911.

21. Funny, but uneven, especially since its revival
When Family Guy is at its best, like last night's episode, it's the funniest show on televsion.

Recently however, some of the shows just haven't been that funny. I don't think Family Guy is that funny when they're just crude for the sake of being crude. Last night the crude humor was to make a point and used brilliantly, but other times recently they've just used it too much, for instance Quagmire is funniest when used sparingly.

The intro was classic. Osama saying Radaman instead of Ramadan etc., Stewie kicking his tail. I laughed the whole show.

23. Funny, but not the funniest
Brian and Stewie and to a lesser degree Lois are the best reasons for watching.

26. It runs hot and cold

Some episodes are out-right gut busters while others rely way too much on toilet humor in lieu of good writing or visual gags.

Also, you can see in certain episodes where there just wasn't enough material to take up 22 minutes and they had to resort to filler (a drawn out sequence or repetitive conversation consisting of two characters going back and forth on a variation of did not/did so.)
----------------------

The Simpsons uses filler from time to time but not to the extreme that Family Guy seems to on occasion.

And definately very funny - although the 3rd started losing the magic a bit IMO.
