My boyfriend and his little cousins hit a deer tonight.

I posted in the lounge Friday in the hunting thread... That it was the weekend opener to the MN hunting season... and tonight my boyfriend and his young cousins were driving home from their hunting trip. They didn't shoot anything this weekend, but on the way home they hit a BIG buck on a very dangerous stretch of road that fronted a 20 foot embankment. They skidded off of the road but they are all 3 ok, shaken but ok. I just got the kids back home (12 and 14) and my boyfriend is sleeping on the couch and I am just an absolute wreck.

I am thankful all 3 people I love very much are ok. My truck, which my boyfriend took this weekend is FUCKED UP... HUGE dent in the front, huge dent in the side and the right rear bumper is smashed, lights are smashed... but at least everyone was ok... now I need a drink! And I am very much regreting posting in that hunting thread.

That can be so dangerous. The treachery of Minnesota driving; my SIl hit a bear awhile back and wrecked her car.:scared:

We've avoided lots of animals on the road for years... this was a huge deer and the kids were completely freaked out....

I'm glad they can all sleep! I'll be up for awhile wearing off this adrenaline!
