9. good food
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. My hubbie is half Chinese. But I used to get Pocky with my friends when I was in junior high and in Chinatown. And I still love them. I believe there are some in the cupboards right now... If only I weren't out of milk...

And thanks for the welcome!

My husband is half Thai...I am very familiar with asian markets, and their delicacies!

Pocky is a bit sweet for my tastes.

6. Kind of like waifer sticks with tasty coating
It's a Japanese candy/treat. Also a kind of rite of passage in the Anime community.

13. Used to be a Strawberry only Pocky addict
The local import store owner got some Banana in and pooh poohed it. The Bunny(my SO) bought some anyway. Instant addiction. Worse than crack.

20. Chocolate has value.
And, as useless calories go, Japanese candies and snacks are less putridly chemical than American junk food. Ex: mostly real sugar and not corn syrup. Yum.

Isn't chocolate some sort of health food? Some sort of nutrient in it?

19. I love Pocky, especially the chocolate.

I worry about buying it at grocery stores (the Asian food sections at stores like Safeway are dusty and suspiciously old-looking). However, I frequently go to Uwajimaya to stock up.

Pocky are so addicting. I can't eat just one, at a time. It's a good thing that they come in separate packages in the box. Otherwise, I'd probably eat the whole box on my own.

I also love the little chocolate mushrooms and koalas. :)
