Could the Vincent Gallo sperm story get any crazier? It does
Seems Gallo has a penchant for blonde hair/blue eyed girls related to german soldiers of the mid-century.

Mid-century German soldiers with blonde hair, blue-eyed descendants. Geez, he saying he wants to start his own master race just like Adolph did?

Actor Gallo Sells His Semen Online

In one of the most bizarre attempts ever by a lesser movie celebrity to capitalize on his fame, actor/director Vincent Gallo has offered to sell his semen for $1 million including "all costs related to attempt at an in vitro fertilization." Fertilization by Gallo "the old fashioned way" will cost $1.5 million. Gallo says that his offer is not open to "those of extremely dark complexions" and offers a $50,000 discount to any woman who is blonde, blue-eyed, or related to "any of the German soldiers of the mid-century." Gallo, who posted the offer on his website, did not return calls from reporters seeking to discover whether he was serious.

1. Ew.
Ew.

Ew.

EW.

I just read through a very frightening post at another message board the other day--long, content not important and probably (rightfully) prohibited on DU (CT-related)--which made a somewhat convincing case for a burgeoning rise of Nazi-fetishism among the Western popular elite (ie; celebrities, uber-rich musicians, etc.). At first, I thought the person's permise was CRAZY--it discussed the widespread rise of hate groups based in NeoNazism with figures for certain areas of Europe and America much higher than even I (paranoid about these groups as I am) believe them to be. Now, I'm really, really questioning the lucidity of that post, and being very afraid.

5. Indie movie maker
I actually liked "Buffalo '66" but "The Brown Bunny" was suppose to be one of the worst ones out there. I would have possibly considered renting "The Brown Bunny" but then I found out that Gallo is a die-hard republican.

He's selling this jacket on his website

Would you pay $650 for this crap

8. Ebert's slam of Brown Bunny was the best movie review ever
So: A self-promoting loser is what I'm getting here.

10. Give "The Brown Bunny" a go
I loved "Buffalo 66" but can't stand Gallo one iota (after the film he called Ricci a cunt who ate all the time). However I was curious about "The Brown Bunny" - especially after the Cannes screening & the death-threat against Ebert & his change of tune after seeing the re-edit (plus I was intrigued as to how he fitted the "notorious" scene in).

He's lost about 30-minutes from the opening hour (although it's still too long & a little pretentious), but the final act is - to be fair - very well done, and goes some way to justifying what's gone before.

Good article on Gallo:

6. Sounds like a stunt to me. An idiotic stunt from a hack filmmaker.
Getting a blaster from your ex-girlfriend on film does not indie credibility make.
