Netflix subscribers!Have you experienced a drastic slowdown in
turnaround times for your movies? I am averaging over a week (8 days) now in the Phoenix area, and I'm really pissed about it! Their customer service doesn't even answer my e-mails (other than the auto reply we got your message). Please help.

2. Sorry, but I only had a problem
a couple months ago when the nearest shipping facility was changing over their tracking methods. It slowed down for 2-3 weeks and then got back on track and hasn't missed a beat since.

3. My DVDs get here within 2-3 days.
But I'm in Los Angeles, which might have something to do with it.

4. Nope, haven't seen any slow down.
In fact, they have some agreement with my post office and they'll acknowledge that they've received my movies the day after I've sent them back and ship out my next movie that day! I usually get it a day or two after that. So, three days, tops.

I've really been impressed with them about that. Sorry you're seeing slowness! I love getting those red envelopes in the mail!

5. Thanx, this is exactly what I'm looking for
BTW I just read in GD that the CEO is giving large to the re:puke:s.
I think it is just here that has slowed down, but this tidbit o'knowledge will probably end my association with them anyway.

10. Blockbuster has a similar deal here
and since they are on the way home anyway I just stop in. No mail or delays. I get what I want when I walk in and pick it up off the shelf myself.

17. I saw somewhere
that they reserve the right to slow down how soon they'll send out your movies if you "cycle" (receive, return, receive a new one) too many in a month (like more than 12) and it's not economically worthwhile to keep you happy. They claim it's a procedure to combat DVD copying piracy, but that's a load of BS.

Also, it's a known fact that the less movies you "cycle" through in a month at a higher price point they higher the priority you receive in the distribution chain.

I'll see if I can dig up the link.

23. My husband hasn't had any slowdown, and he watches several movies a month.
I don't know if he gets past 12, though.

20. No, not at all.
I usually receive mine 2 or 3 days after dropping them in the mail. Hurricane Rita slowed things down a bit--not much bad weather, but a lot of people left town.

21. Nope, no problem here in Georgia. Two-day turnaround.
Could be because there is a distribution center close by.

22. Absolutely no problem
with turnaround. They check my DVDs in the day after they hit the mail box and send me a new one that day. I get it the following day.

I'm going to research this Red/Blue issue though. I didn't used to pay attention to such things, but that changed a few years ago. I left a bank account I'd had for 14 years, among other things.
