Question about Anti-virus protection
I'm getting DSL thru SBC/Yahoo. They have a 16.99 deal right now. Anywho, do I still need to re-register my anti-virus stuff that which ise Norton or will the new DSL protect me?

1. I think you're probably running a PC with Windows XP -
Home edition and that your Norton Anti-Virus is installed on your computer. You paid the subscription and you know that your anti-virus signatures update regularly.

Your Norton Anti-Virus software will be fine on the new circuit, because it's on your PC and not on your provider.

Do you have a firewall and some anti-spyware stuff installed also?

Best to you.

2. I was just wondering
if I should renew the Norton if I'm going to get all the same stuff from Yahoo. I've got email protection but I don't think I've got a firewall.

3. Is Yahoo giving you PC-based anti-virus?
What's your anti-virus deal from Yahoo? Is it rolled into your Yahoo price?

Could you provide a link?

Thanks in advance.

6. Gotcha
I wouldn't renew your existing shit.

Make sure you get all the Yahoo-provided stuff installed and keep it updated.

5. No, it will still work
and not to go off-topic, but Norton is junk.

Much better.

8. NOD32's also very good
www.eset.com

I have licenses for Kaspersky AND NOD. I might change to NOD as my main AV if KIS/KAV 6 doesn't work right. Not one beta version of KIS 6 has, at least on my computer.

Good luck with your decision. :hi:
